The Women’s Studies Program at the University of Oklahoma and The Xenia Institute will sponsor “Don’t Look Away: Violence Against Women and Human Rights in Oklahoma,” an interactive dialogue and panel discussion event on April 2 that will scrutinize issues concerning violence against women, particularly in Oklahoma.

The program, which will take place at 7 p.m. in the Sandy Bell Gallery of the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art on the OU campus, will examine the current situation of intimate violence against women and its root causes in an interactive, three-part format.

Panelists for the event will be:

  • Sandy Ingraham, an attorney and social policy consultant at Ingraham & Associates, P.L.L.C.
  • Debbie Marshall-Gill, coordinator of education at the Women’s Resource Center.
  • Susan Sharp, professor in the department of Sociology and Women’s Studies Program at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Kelly Stoner, director of the Native American Legal Resource Center at Oklahoma City University.
  • Linda Terrell, executive director of the Center for Children and Families, Inc. in Norman.
